they had an apple tasting bar where you could look at the different varieties and then they would hand you a sample slice. arkansas black was one i had never heard of and tried... it was good.

we had a little while to wait and this was the view of the building behind us... cool texture.

the press had two stages... first the went in the hopper on top and then we cranked the wheel to run them through and chop them up. once the whole batch was chopped up then the handle was used to press the juice out

at the cafe, the lunch special was a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich with apple slices. i said "when in rome..." it was pretty good.
