  • my favorite shot of the week.
  • this is the korean war memorial. interesting spot actually. this area has 19 soldier statues reflected in the wall to show 38. the war was fought over the 38th parallel.
  • the un symbol. something i saw a few hundred times in my days in model un. go mr. aase.
  • i had been dared to run in the reflecting pool like forrest gump, and i totally was going to... but the pool was empty so i could not.
  • lincoln memorial. good stuff... interesting place actually. might be more fun if he could stand up and talk... oh wait... he can at disneyland.
  • we were such tourists.

  • changing of the guard at arlington. one of the most moving moments of the trip. amazing actually.
  • wine cellar in the home at arlington.
  • national cathedral... really cool building.
  • stained glass at the national cathedral.
  • it is a non-denominational house of worship for the nation. they had this really cool statue of jesus.
  • this was the catholic section of the national cathedral

  • chili dinner in georgetown anyone? the downside? loooong walk home.
  • 4-H headquarters in dc... head, heart, hands, hogs.
